Magic the Gathering Duels of the Planeswalker was a game originally released in 1998.
While the graphics are dated, the original game
had great gameplay and was highly addictive.

Magic the Gathering is making its way to the Xbox Live Arcade in the form of Duels of the Planeswalkers. If that name rings a bell, you might be an old-timer like me. Duels of the Planewalkers was one of the first Magic the Gathering games for the PC. Released in 1998, it was easily one of the coolest versions of MtG made for the PC with a campaign mode that allowed you to explore the world and get into duels in order to win new cards.

The Xbox Live version is based on the original game and, like the original, you do not have full control over picking your deck. Instead, you choose basic decks and customize them by winning new cards in campaign mode. Along with a single player campaign mode and an online head-to-head mode, Duels of the Planewalkers will also feature a co-op campaign mode where you and a friend can test your abilities using separate decks.
