The Madden 09 demo for the Xbox 360 was released yesterday to the delight of fans hungry to get a taste of this year's version. At just over 1 GB, the demo will take up a fair bit of space on your Xbox 360 harddrive, but considering you'll be able to delete it in a week when Madden comes out, it's not much of an issue.

As for the Madden 09 demo details, the demo starts out by giving you a test in the virtual training room with Madden handing out points based on how well you do in the test. You are then taken to a Madden moment which puts you in the role of the New York Giants in that historic last drive. It's 4rth and one with a minute and a half on the clock, and you have to drive down the field against the New England Patriots and score a touchdown to win the Super Bowl.

The Madden demo does have one problem. While you can retry the Madden moment all you want while you are still in the game, once you quit, you will be forced to take the virtual trainer quiz again. This puts a bit of a barrier on just jumping in and playing the Madden moment.
