The guys over at Valve have been hard at work bringing the digital distribution of games into the Web 2.5 world by creating a cloud computing gaming platform called Steam Cloud.
Cloud Computing is a process of using the Internet to do what you might normally use your PC to do, like using Flickr to store all of your pictures or using Google Docs as a word processor. In Steam Cloud's case, you use the Internet to store your game data like settings and save files.
That means you can go over to your friends house -- or really anywhere with the Internet -- and still access all of your saved games.
Valve is debuting the service with the Left 4 Dead demo. So, its worth your while to check out if for no other reason to blast away the zombie hordes. You can download the Left 4 Dead demo here.
