NASCAR team owner and driver Robby Gordon’s Trophy Truck blew an engine just before midnight Saturday ending a forgettable Baja 1000 for the accomplished off road racer.

On Friday Gordon flipped his Chevy Silverado at mile eight, just outside Ensenada. Gordon’s crew was able to repair the truck but Gordon was never able to make up lost ground and finished well off the leader board.

The No. 8 Roger Norman/Larry Roeseler Team won the event in the Trophy Truck division.
