The Greenbuild International Conference and Expo 2009 is in Phoenix, Arizona next week from November 11th through the 13th.  Started in 2002, Greenbuild is the world's largest conference and expo dedicated to sustainable building design and construction. Thousands of people attend, from all over the world, for three days of inspiring speakers, relationship and network building, industry showcases, LEED workshops and tours of green buildings in Phoenix.

While in Arizona many of the attendees will take the opportunity to visit on of the seven natural wonders, the Grand Canyon.  Xanterra South Rim, L.L.C. is offering a Grand Canyon Stay and Play Package to not only Greenbuild participants but also to anyone with an interest in visiting the Grand Canyon and learning more about sustainable tourism and environmental stewardship.

On the morning of November 1st, guests will board the Historic Grand Canyon Train in Williams, Arizona.  They will enjoy a private VIP coach trip to the Grand Canyon.  When they arrive at the canyon, they will board a state of the art CNG bus for a chartered bus tour of the South Rim.  After the tour they will enjoy a meal and check into their hotel.  That evening they will relax at a private VIP Greenbuild cocktail reception with a cash bar before a private dinner with a keynote presentation on the various sustainable programs of the Xanterra South Rim operations.

The second day of the package starts with a private breakfast with a Q&A session with Megan Bloomer, Xanterra's Director of Environmental Affairs and Sustainable Programs.  Participants then have time to explore the South Rim on their own before boarding the train mid-afternoon for their trip back to Williams.

The cost of the Grand Canyon Stay and Play package from November 15th to the 16th is $275 for an adult 17 or older, $425 for an adult couple, $160 for an additional adult staying in the same room as the couple or $115 for a child staying in the same room as the couple.

To book this package visit www.grandcanyonlodges.com and select Yavapai Lodge.  Enter Green in the promo code box and use November 15th as the arrival date.
