The Grand Canyon Lodges Xanterra South Rim Photo Contest
Grand Canyon National Park visitors are never far away from their camera. Whether their camera is hanging on their wrist, secured in their camera bag, or as a feature on their cell phone, everyone is looking for that perfect shot that captures their experience. While looking for that award winning Canyon shot or once in a lifetime Condor over a perfectly lighted Canyon photo, guests will take shots of their family by the camp fire, their friend's reaction when the waiter brings out the bison burger, their children waving at the huge elk through their hotel window, and the relieved look on their hiking party's faces when they reach the top of the Bright Angel Trail.

These are exactly the types of photos Grand Canyon National Park Lodges operator Xanterra South Rim is looking to find in their photo contest. Xanterra is looking for photos taken by guests of their friends and family doing activities at Grand Canyon. Though photos that perfectly capture Grand Canyon's scenes and wildlife are more than welcome, the goal is to show people enjoying the many opportunities and activities available at Grand Canyon. The photo contest is looking for all types of photo subjects, including people enjoying adventures, looking at the arts or enjoying entertainment, people hiking and backpacking, someone enjoying the wildlife or photos of the wildlife, camping groups, families fishing, people doing fitness activities, couples and groups enjoying the Grand Canyon Cuisine, people enjoying the tours, and many more.
Each month a new set of photos will be featured on the website from the submissions received to recognize those photos that stand out and as an example to future submitters of what Xanterra is looking to find. Prizes include meals at the South Rim restaurants and hotel stays at Grand Canyon Lodges. Xanterra has also launched a photo contest for Ohio State Park visitors. Employees of Xanterra South Rim also have a photo contest with prizes catered more to their desires. Good luck to everyone!
