"Project Charlie"

Best Buy's computer systems now have listings for three secretive phone models for AT&T Mobility, named "Project Charlie" in the system, Phone Arena reports.

AT&T currently carries three iPhone models; the 8GB model, and the two colors in 16GB size. If Apple were to continue this scheme of two models, with two colors for the higher end, that would make the next iPhone iteration to have three listings in a system. On top of that, "Charlie" could also signify the third iteration of a product line. With the original iPhone and the iPhone 3G, Apple is currently speculated to release it's third iteration of the extremely popular device in the coming weeks. An announcement of the device is likely at Apple's upcoming WWDC starting June 8th.

Couple with the fact that Best Buy is one of the few locations that sell iPhones (outside of retail Apple Stores, online Apple Stores, AT&T locations, and Wal-Mart), signs points more to this being the new iPhone model... but everything could just be circumstance.

The next iPhone will undoubteldy be released with iPhone 3.0 OS, and is rumored to have new features such as a bigger camera and radio.
