PF Digital Inc., the creator of the Wi-Fi digital photo frame eStarling, has announced a new version, the eStarling 802.11n Touchscreen Connected Frame. The 10.2' touchscreen is the first to connect to 802.11n Wi-Fi, and comes with a personal GMail account to send pictures and video to. While it doesn't connect to YouTube, it does connect to Flickr, Facebook, Photobucket, Twitter, and the like to display images, video, tweets, and the like. It has 2GB Flash memory and SD Card support, if you don't like wireless. The over-the-air automatic firmware upgrade show promise, if anything.
For $249.99, the device ships out on November 15th. Perfectly in time for the holidays, it seems like a great gift if your parents are technologically savvy (given the amount of moms on Facebook, it doesn't seem that rare nowadays), or if you want to show your lolcats to everyone who's over at your house. YouTube or Hulu support would make it a no-brainer mini TV, depending on how good the speakers are; supporting only mobile videos under 20 MB is an understandable limitation, but leads hope for more.
The site advertises throughout the connectivity with iPhones. Users are able to email their pictures from their iPhone to the device.
