Update: A lawsuit is planned in response to the mass arrest of almost 100 people.
Of the roughly 100 who were arrested Monday night, nearly half will plead not guilty while others took plea deals that let them pay a roughly $150 fine and costs for a municipal-ordinance violation, said attorneys and advisers for the protesters, most of whom had been released from jail by Tuesday evening. "This is a classic illegal mass arrest," said Dan Spalding of the People's Law Project, which is advising the protesters. "It was indiscriminate. It was arbitrary."
