Zeno Clash's stellar showcase has pushed ACE Team to announce a sequel.  Robert Purchese from Eurogamer.net sat down with one of ACE Team's founding members, Carlos Bordeu, and talked about the porting of Zeno Clash 1 to the Xbox 360, and what fans should expect to see in Zeno Clash 2.

The main feature we're bringing back is making the game more open-ended and making the progression of the game non-linear...  in Zeno Clash you have forests with colourful trees that aren't from the real world. The plants don't look like plants and the cities are like nothing you've seen. Exploration becomes even more interesting when you're in a world you don't expect. That's one of the really strong things we want to do with Zeno Clash 2.

Environment played a huge role in Zeno Clash 1 delivering an alternate world that was greatly driven by story and character development.  Much of those environmental roles should be expected in the sequel.  As ACE Team's popularity has shot up exponentially, this fame has pegged them as one of the leading independent design development groups around.  Zeno Clash 2 has fans buzzing about what should be expected.

Well the first thing was the scope and making an open-ended game. We're looking at improving the melee and weapon combat and giving it something more in-depth - adding more attacks and doing something more dynamic, like playing with the environment and not having all levels as flat floors. We're also looking at the possibility of playing different characters.

It looks like critics and fans alike are in for a real treat.  Be mindful of the Corwinds for they are a free species.
