35th anniversary season at the Colony Theatre
Burbank has a theatrical gem in The Colony Theatre and the Ovation Award-winning company is presenting an interesting selection of shows in celebration of their 35th anniversary.
The 2009/2010 Colony Theatre Company Season includes:
2 Pianos 4 Hands, by Ted Dykstra and Richard Greenblatt, June 20-July 26, (Previews June 17 - 19)
As kids, Ted and Richard didn't have much in common – except for the shared desire to become classical pianists. This play "with music follows the dynamic and comical true journey of these boys into adulthood, their musical aspirations gleaming like the grand pianos that they play masterfully from start to finish."
Visiting Mr. Green, by Jeff Baron, August 29-September 27, (Previews August 26-28)
Two men, one is his 80s, the other in his 20s are forced together against their will. Visiting Mr. Green is the internationally-acclaimed story about parents and children, lifelong secrets, and finding friendship in unlikely places. This bittersweet comedy shows that wisdom and folly come at any age.
Better Angels, by Wayne Peter Liebman, October 24 – November 22, 2009 (Previews October 21-23)

Celadine, by Charles Evered, February 6 - March 7, 2010, (Previews February 3-5)

Jacques Brell Is Alive And Well And Living In Paris, April 10 - May 9, 2010, (Previews April 7 - 9)Conception, lyrics, & additional material by Eric Blau & Mort Shuman, based on lyrics & commentary by Jacques Brel, music by Jacques Brel.
