2nd Annual Run 4 My Mom

• 5k run/walk
• Saturday, May 9, 2009
• The event starts at 8 AM
• The event starts from Crane's Roost Park in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
• A portion of the proceeds raised at this event will benefit breast cancer research.

Please join us on May 9th for this very special event. This fun run/walk is dedicated to moms in Central Florida who are fighting breast cancer. Last year, thanks to our generous participants, we were able to provide financial support to a family who needed assistance paying for treatments and we delivered mother’s day cards and gifts to women at the MD Anderson Cancer Center who were alone on Mothers Day.

I encourage you, to take an hour out of your day, on May 9th, to run or walk 5 miles to honor those who can’t be with us. Let’s work together to bring an end to this terrible disease and to provide comfort and support to those amazing women who live with it on a daily basis.

We rely on word of mouth advertising for this event, so please, get the word out. We really do have a great time while we honor our mothers. There will be prizes given away and everyone will receive a medal for their participation. In this time of economic stress, it’s important to remember that cancer is not in a recession. We still need to unite as a community to end the suffering.
