Admit it, you are owned by the cutest, most adorable pet in the world. No one else has a dog with a face like that. No other cat is as cuddly. No other bunny's ears flop in quite that endearing way. Want a chance to prove it to the world?

The Humane Society is holding an online pet photo contest to draw attention to the 15th annual Spay Day on February 24, 2009. "Spay Day is The Humane Society of the United States' and Humane Society International's annual event to inspire people to save animals' lives by spaying or neutering pets and feral cats."

There are great prizes for winners, finalists and even honorable mentions, including gift cards and pet shopping sprees, magazine features, pet photography, a custom pet painting, books and more. All you have to do is upload a photo of your pet to get started. Visitors can vote for their favorites and pets with the most votes will win prizes, and that's in addition to the regular judging. The contest is free to enter.
