Even the kids know racism is alive and well. President Obama visited a charter school in New Orleans recently and the fourth graders there questioned him heavily as to why so many people have a lot of hatred for him. Some of them even felt like the only reason people hate him is because of the color of his skin. The pupils there even touched upon spirituality in asking him, If God is love, then why do people hate you?

Obama joked with them that not everyone hates him because he was elected President. But then he took note of the seriousness of the students in replying that, as commander in chief, it comes with the job and folks are dependent on his administration to uplift the economy, create jobs, uphaul health care and build homes, which can cause frustration if not enacted quickly. Obama proudly explained to them that he is far from tired and he’s just getting started.
