Actress, Gwyneth Paltrow has created a website, www.GOOP.com.

The blog-like website is dedicated to "nourishing the inner aspect."  She gives advice on such things as healthy eating, exercise, and tips on best places to visit or shop.

The easy to maneuver website has six main categories covering various topics to 'Make' - including recipes and tips on healthy eating choices, 'Go' - suggests places to visit and some of Paltrow's favorite hotels, 'Get' - fashion ideas or suggestions, 'Do' - exercising the mind and body, 'Be' - enjoying 'the moment', and 'See.' - book, movie, museum, etc. suggestions.

Paltrow decided to create the website because she wanted to share the helpful and useful information she has been given by others.  Paltrow passes along advice from such names as chef, Mario Batali, celebrity trainer, Tracy Anderson, and film director, Steven Spielberg.

"(I give advice) because I felt like I had a lot of really useful information that I was privileged enough to get, because I have this amazing, super, fortunate life."

Paltrow and her website have recently been criticized in the press.  Some critics feel her perspective has a 'know-it-all' tone and discusses 'rubbish.'  But the actress defends her website:

"My friends call me all the time to say, 'Where should I go?' or 'What should I do?' And I thought, you know, maybe some other people would be interested in it as well, so I started it."

GOOP readers can also sign up for her weekly newsletters to be delivered to their email in-box.  As a relatively private person, Paltrow's website is a window into her life, not only as an Academy award winning actress, but as a wife, mom with two children, and a woman just trying to live a fulfilling life.
