His millions of fans around the world will jump for honey-coated joy, as will the ailing book industry, with the publication of the very first authorized sequel to the A.A. Milne classics.
Return to the Hundred Acre Wood, written by David Benedictus and illustrated by Mark Burgess, will be out on October 5, 2009. Weisberg expects the addition to The Pooh Bear cannon of Winnie-the-Pooh, The House at Pooh Corner, When We Were Very Young and Now We Are Six to be "huge seller for a long, long time."
A.A. Milne's books have delighted generations of readers, old and young, with their tales of the teddy bear and his pals, Eeyore, Kanga, Piglet and Christopher Robin ever since their publication back in 1926.
