She was once one of the biggest stars around - and we're not just talking about the junk in her trunk - but at the Inauguration of President Barack Obama, Jennifer Lopez, according to those on the scene, almost couldn't even get past the doorman.

That's what happened outside the Washington DC convention center last night at the Neighborhood Ball. JLo and her often silent but Skeletor creepy husband Marc Anthony, who truth be told, can knock out a tune or two, showed up typically late for the event. Real A-listers like Jay-Z, who was getting around town with a police escort, and Alicia Keys had been warned to make it to balls and other celebrations up to four hours early to make it past the snarled traffic and tight security. Even Leonardo DiCaprio and Toby "Spiderman" Maquire were there early. But of course Jenny from the block is too important to listen to such advice.

Which is why she and Marc were left outside in the deep freeze cold when they showed up at the Neighborhood Ball after 8PM. Huffing and puffing, as hundreds of others waited also, Lopez and Anthony, who had jumped on stage for a surprise performance at the Western Ball earlier in the evening, were eventually let in. Not that the crowd didn't give them a piece of their mind as the duo pushed up to the front. You'd hope the incident would have taught the two some humility, but I doubt it.

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony didn't seem to understand they can't show up after the headliner and expect to steal the show - one reason the DC convention center was bundled up so tight is that the President was there.

President Obama and the First Lady, doing their tour of all the balls, got to the Neighborhood Ball before 8PM. And when the President is there, no matter how big your rocks, you wait.
