OLD PALS SLASH AND LENNY KRAVITZ ON STAGE IN NYC IN 2004...IS THERE MORE TO COME?

Lenny says it ain't true.

Despite rumors whipping around the net and up and down the Sunset Strip that Mr. Kravitz has been anointed the new singer of Velvet Revolver and is already in the studio with Slash, Duff and the rest of the now Scott Weilandless band, Lenny says no.

Today multi-platinum artist told Rolling Stone that "I know and love the Velvet Revolver guys but there is no truth to the story about me joining their band."

It's too bad, because if the collaboration between Slash and Lenny in 1991 on tunes like "Always On The Run" and "Fields of Joy," off Lenny's Mama Said album, were any indication it would be like Sly Stone or Curtis Mayfield meets the Exile on Main Street era Rolling Stones...and that's pretty great.

Maybe they’re just all hanging out playing Guitar Hero?
