Clemson University and the University of North Carolina face each other Saturday (March 28) to determine the best Women's rugby club in the Southeast. For the winner there is a trip to Sanford, Fl. and a place as one of the nations best 16 teams.
Ahead of the sweet sixteen play-in game, Clemson head coach Mike May sat down for some quick Q and A about his team, their style and UNC.

Examiner: What do you know about the Tar heels?
May: UNC is a well coached team that likes to create overloads with good ball handling and speed. They are also a strong defensive team that makes most of its first up tackles.
Examiner: How have you been preparing for this tournament?
May: We have prepared for the South Championship by continuing work on fitness and basic skills. We have also used this time to get some key players healthy. We will have our starting flyhalf for the first time this semester.
Examiner: What do you have to do to be South Champs or even D1 champs?
May: Keys for Clemson's success will be maintaining possession of the ball. When on defense making our tackles and turning over possession of the ball... and moving the ball quickly to space.
Examiner: To that end, how do you plan to do this?
May: Clemson's style of play is running the other teams forwards back and forth across the field with quick rucks and then moving the ball out wide and exploiting the space created as the other team tires.
Examiner: What are your real strengths?
May: Our strength is team fitness. We have a mobile tight five, active backrow and fast backs who make good decisions with the ball in hand.
UNC head coach Ramiro Diz's Q and A will follow shortly.
