The University of South Carolina Women's Rugby Club are one game away from an invite to the national championships.

Without opposition Saturday, USC advanced via a 15-0 forfeit victory over Middle Tennessee State University.

The win catapults the DII side into the USA Rugby South Semi-final next week. There they will play the winner of The University of South Florida and the University of Georgia.

A win in that game should see an invitation forwarded to the top two teams in USA Rugby South.

The win puts USC at 5-0 for the season with wins over UGA, Emory, Georgia Tech and Western Carolina.
