Fortunately for us, the Bay Area has some of the best roads for motorcycling in the country. We also have some of the best restaurants and while none of the ones on the list can be considered “5-star” the mix of their location, food, drinks and people make them well worthwhile to fire up the bike, hit the back roads, and take a pit stop at one of these eateries.
5: Zeitgeist
199 Valencia St
San Francisco, CA 94103
If you can’t leave the city you can still find something to wet your pallet from the large beer selection. This is not a place I would head to for the food but the burgers are decent. After work on Thursdays and Fridays in the summer the place is packed.
4: Pine Cone Diner
60 4th St
Point Reyes Station, CA 94956
With an outdoor patio and breakfast all day this diner is a great Sunday stop if you are riding Highway 1 or Mt. Tam. Try the Thai Beef Salad.
3: Coast Cafe
46 Wharf Rd
Bolinas, CA 94924
A fresh fish and brew is a great way to end a day riding on Highway 1. The Coast Café probably has the best food of the five restaurants on this list and is the priciest, but well worth it.
2: Lanesplitters
2033 San Pablo Ave
Berkeley, CA 94702
and
4799 Telegraph Street
Oakland, CA 94609
When you are done riding the twisties of the East Bay Regional Park District, coast down the hill and park yourself at Lanesplitters. Their specialty is pizza; either loaded with meat or vegan and everything in between. Their salads and beer selection are great too.
1: Alice’s
17288 Skyline Blvd
Woodside, CA 94062
The location alone makes it the best hangout for bikers in the Bay Area. Add the burgers and sandwiches, friendly people and sheer number of bikers that congregate on the weekends and you have the best biker hang out in the Bay Area.
Honorable Mention:
Bosco's Bones and Brew, Sunol, CA
