They may have been annoying to some, but not racial.

The reviews have been all over the place for TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN.  Most of the "veteran" critics, are not too fond of this film.  The problem, they all want the use of logic in a movie.  Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't one go to a movie for an escape?  Sometimes?  When HARRY POTTER comes out in a few weeks, are they going to complain because they use magic?  What is the current state of critics?

The most recent example to use is the TRANSFORMERS sequel.  Now, everyone is entitled to their opinion.  However, some of these people are losing touch with their craft.  This isn't to say that they are bad, or an attempt at of self-promotion on my part.  I realize that I have things to learn when reviewing a movie.  I believe that one can never be a perfect movie-reviewer.  Lately, it seems that critics are simply focused on finding something wrong in a film, and this limits their ability to see the positives of a film.  TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, is what it is.  If one doesn't like it, then that's fine, but at least be able to explain why.  Don't just state your dislike, follow it up with a solution or something constructive.

The other aspect that baffles me, is that reviewers admit they read other reviews before they submit their own.  Are you serious?  Just write to the best of your abilities.  I would prefer to have something different that may stand out, rather than being the same as everyone else.  I personally don't read any review until mine is published.  What one should do is read the people who comment on your review.  Most don't, but I've found out that if you are able to view other people's perceptions on things, then you can better yourself as an un-bias reviewer.

Today, many people can be a movie-critic.  That may be part of the problem.  Over-saturating an industry, will eventually tarnish the quality of the product.  I don't know if there is a criteria or some type of education on being a movie-reviewer.  I rely on knowing and learning the product, and being honest.  The use of fancy words in every sentence usually covers up the weakness of knowledge the reviewer has.  The latest TRANSFORMER film sparked this article.  The amount of crap posted by credible reviewers, in the last two days is shocking.  Perhaps you think my review is crap, tell me why.  I'd rather know what today's movie-going audience wants in a review rather than just being an "artist" with my writing.

This isn't a defense to TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN.  This is just a reminder that this craft is important and the review should be informative, rather than just shock and awe, and play on words.  The reviews for TRANSFORMERS: REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, good or bad, are a disgrace to the industry.  Let's all give the audience and readers the best we can!
