What makes a neighborhood sizzle?

Easy access.
Is the neighborhood close to 6th avenue, Broadway, 1-25 or York Street? A home located close to main transportation arteries is attractive for folks considering a commute or getting groceries. Colorado Department of Transportation Map of Denver.

Walk the dog.
When you see neighborhood folks are out enjoying their 'hood by walking the dog you know you're in the right spot. Here's a list of Denver dog parks.

Meet for coffee.
Being within walking distance of a coffee shop is great for telecommuters and self employed folks who like to meet clients or friends in the comfort of a cozy coffee shop. Enjoy a cup of Joe here. 

Trees please.
Excellent trees make an wonderful block. In addition to providing needed shade in the summer and a wind block in the winter Denver needs it's trees. Gallery down the street.
Artist create an energy of revitalization and excitement. The Santa Fe Arts District and the River North Art District are strong examples of artist breathing life into once stagnate areas. Get over to one of Denver art galleries.

Park it.
Parks are magnets for revitalization and development neighborhoods. It great to have a place near by to take your take your shoes off and lounge under a tree with a book. Denver has a great network of parks for such an arid climate.

Green thumbs abound.
Community gardens are a great indicator of the local involvement of the neighborhood community. Good landscaping or efforts being made to improve landscaping is an indicator of pride of home ownership. Get involved in the Denver Urban Garden locations throughout Denver, Lakewood, Aurora, Commerce City, Englewood and Sheridan.

Good Schools.
Close proximity to a well performing school is a great reason to buy as well as great for resale because parents care about schools. Review the latest Denver County Colorado Student Assessment Program test results.
