Cheap airfares to Honolulu, Hawaii make Hawaiian vacations affordable

Discounted airfare to Hawaii on Hawaiian Airines makes this tropical paradise an affordable

Round-trip airfares for non-stop travel between Seattle and Honolulu, Hawaii are as low as $360 with the summer-time promotion from Hawaiian Airlines, which amounts to $381 with airport taxes and fees if you book before March 31st. 

Hawaiian tourism has declined in recent months as people opt to travel closer to home, but with airfare discounts and hotel promotions on the rise, the Hawaiian islands may once again become a premiere holiday destination for west coast travelers.

Honolulu, the state capital of Hawaii and also home of the Honolulu International Airport, is on the island of Oahu where such attractions as Waikiki Beach and Pearl Harbor Memorial are located.  Visitors to the island looking to get away from the crowds may want to fly to the island of Maui, where pineapple fields, golf courses and scenic beach drives make for a more relaxed get-away.  Non-stop airfare from Seattle to Kahului, Maui starts at $407 round-trip, included fees and taxes.

Travel to Hawaii in the off-season and save money on airfare and accommodation

Travel dates are limited to the summer weeks between June 15th and August 21st, 2009, but at nearly half the price of current fares, already deeply discounted to to promote island travel during the economic recession, I'd gladly take my trip to these tropical islands in the off-season if it meant saving a few hundred dollars on airfare.  Summer temperatures are typically between 80-90 degrees F, about 10 degrees hotter than the comfortable weather found in peak months of March and April, but even during my last visit to Hawaii in September I found that the cool ocean breezes made the heat bareable.
