I got the scoop on a new place where you can get some of your Latin fix!
Avila, which will be opening this weekend, will play host to
three floors of non-stop music, celebrity guests and VIP treatment.
Avila, a small province in Southern Spain, is the inspiration behind this new River North hot spot. With an ambiance reminiscent of
Spanish baroque architecture, Avila is a modern twist on old world
Spain. Enter through its castle-like wooden doors and guests are
immediately immersed in an ornate atmosphere, illuminated with LED
wall features and colorful touches, transporting Avila patrons to
another era. Giant plant life surrounds the grand, tile laid
staircase, allowing for guests to climb their way to Avila's Latin
beats.
The tunes DJs will be spinning to include Rock en Espanol, Reggaeton, Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Hip Hop and Top 40.
Avila's launch party takes place February 27 & 28. Every Wednesday
beginning February 25, Avila hosts Chicago's new night for Salsa.
Avila is located at 203 W. Superior and, of course, you must be 21 to enter. Now go dance the night away.
