A Heat Advisory continues for north and central Texas until 7p.m. Saturday evening.
Intense heating under sunny skies, along with high pressure aloft, will drive air temperatures into the 100-103 degree range with heat index values to 108 possible.
The pattern of heat begins to ease tomorrow as a frontal boundary moves towards us from the north.
Computer models generate a fairly continuous band of showers and storms along the front Sunday night and Monday. Our prospects for rain look to be in the 30% range while cooler temperatures have a better chance of happening as the ridge moves west and weakens.
A second front continues to show up later next week; so it looks like the heat wave may be taking a bit of a break after Sunday.
