All over Rochester, various towns are putting on their own unique 4th of July celebrations.  Here is an exhaustive list of festivities in the Rochester area:

Downtown Rochester:   It's Rochester's 175th birthday, so the city is going all out this Fourth of July.  A spectacular fireworks show starts at 10pm.  Festivities beforehand include a pops concert from the RPO. call 585-428-5990 www.cityofrochester.gov

Brighton, July 4 Fourth of July festival begins at 10am at Meridian Centre Park.  Rides, food, entertainment from the Skycoasters.  There is a 5K Race and Pancake Breakfast at Twelve Corners and Brighton High School.  Fireworks display in the evening. 700 Meridian Centre Road; www.townofbrighton.org

Branchport, NY  Celebrate the fourth in the Fingerlakes.  Fourth of July Festival starts at noon, parade is at 1pm at the North End Marina, and there is a fireworks display at 10pm.  The town has various festivities throughout the weekend.  Visit www.yatescounty.com for more information.

Brockport, July 4 Brockport is hosting an “Old Fashioned Celebration” at the Morgan-Manning House where you will music, children's activities, historical oral presentations, and much more.  Festivities begin 11am-4pm at 151 Main Street, Brockport; call 585-637-3645 www.frontiernet.net/~morganmanninghouse/

Canandaigua, July 4 Parade begins at 10am followed by a picnic at Kershaw park in Lakeshore Drive.  The theme of this year's Fourth of July Festival is "Energizing Our Community."  There will be musical entertainment and of course, fireworks in the evening. Conesus Lake, July 3 "Ring of Fire" Fireworks display over the lake.  Learn about this special tradition at www.nyfalls.com.

Chili, July 4  Chili, which is not called at Chile, is having its 20th annual Chil-E fest  and fourth of July Celebration.  There will be lots of entertainment, food and craft vendors,  a car show, children’s entertainment, inflatables, a parade at 5pm, hopefully some chile and of course, fireworks; noon-10pm; 3235 Chili Avenue call 585-889-4680 www.townofchili.org

Fairport, July 4 The Skycoasters are also going to be in Fairport!  (Noon-4:30)  There will be a parade on Main Street at 10am.  A Party in the Park starts at noon and goes until 4pm.   Perinton Park; Route 31F and O’Connor Road, Fairport; call 585-586-9840 www.perintonchamber.com

Greece, July 4 Grace and Truth Sports Park, owned and operated by those at First Bible Baptist Church in Greece, are putting on a “Spirit of America” celebration.  There will be music by the Johnny Matt Big Band, inflatables, festivities for the kids and fireworks.  The celebrations starts at 3 pm; Grace and Truth SportsPark, 373 North Greece Road;  call 585-615-3991 www.thespiritofamerica.info

Hornell, NY  Veterans Memorial Park in Main St.  Parade starts at noon.  Theme is "Stars and Stripes Forever"  with food, vendors, craft booths, children's activities, all-day jumping pen, classic car show, and performances.  www.hornellhpg.com

Irondequoit, July 3-4   Parade begins at 11am.  There is a festival with arts and crafts and musical entertainment.  Fireworks are in the evening.  All takes place on the Irondequoit Town Hall Grounds from 11am-11pm; , 1280 Titus Avenue; call 585-336-6070 www.irondequoit.org

Lyndonville, NY .  Fourth of July Lions Celebration! There will be a parade, antique car show, Buffalo Philharmonic performs at 7pm, arts and crafts, and firework display at dusk!  77 Housel Ave on the school grounds. Call 595-3199

Penfield, July 3-4 Penfield also has a parade at 2pm on Tuesday.  There will be a festival both Friday and Saturday with live music, good food, and cruises Friday night starting at 5pm.  Fireworks on the fourth, of course!  Where? Henrietta, July 4  There is a festival at Veteran’s Memorial Park complete with food, music, fireworks and games from 4-10pm; 515 Calkins Road call 359-2540 www.townofhenrietta.org

Mumford, July 4 This is the coolest. The Genesee Country Village & Museum is holding a 19th century-style fourth of July celebration complete with an old-fashioned grand parade, a pie-eating contest and more, and an authentic naturalization ceremony!  Begins at 10am-5pm; Flint Hill Road, Mumford; call 585-538-6822 www.gcv.org

WarsawJuly 2-4  Firemen 4th of July Carnival at the Warsaw Village Park on Liberty Street.  Parade is July 3 at 7pm; fireworks on the 4th at 10:30pm.  Food, rides, and music.  Pay-one-price ticket Friday from 1-5pm.  visit warsawchamber.com
