For those thinking that country trio Lady Antebellum and pop-infused R&B-star Beyonce Knowles have little in common, think once more.
In fact, since June 30, Lady A does has something in common with not only one-name sensation Beyonce, but also with big-name artists such as Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, rapper TI, The Black Eyed Peas, Flo Rida, Lady Gaga, Jamie Foxx and Nickelback.
Granted, they don't share a music genre, but all are included on the brand-new Now That's What I Call Music 31, which is a popular, long-running CD series that's reportedly sold more than 75 million copies worldwide to date.
"I've got one word ... BEYONCE!" screamed Lady A vocalist Hillary Scott, referring to her trio's inclusion on the compilation CD. "It is hard to describe what it feels like for me to see our name on the same CD package as hers. I'm seriously pinching myself."
The CMA Awards' reigning New Artist of the Year, Lady Antebellum is the lone country act on the 20-track Now release, with its latest hit, "I Run To You" listed among the compilation's tracks.
At present, "I Run To You" is a top-five country song, nesting at at No. 4 on the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart. Moreover, the Capitol Nashville trio's gold-certified debut album has consistently been a fixture in the top 10 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and has never slipped from the iTunes top 10 since its release 6o-plus weeks ago.
Lady Antebellum, which also includes guitarist Dave Haywood and lead singer Charles Kelley, is currently on the road with Kenny Chesney. Later this fall, they'll join Keith Urban for their first trek to Canada.
