Lone Star native Miranda Lambert's ready to unveil
Revolution, her third CD, come Sept. 29, 2009. (AP).

Believe it or not, Miranda Lambert's about to have her third CD available to fans. It seems as if it were only  yesterday that the Texas-born songstress made her foray onto the country scene, but that just shows that time flies when a good thing comes down the pike.

Lambert, clearly, is a good thing. Her quicksilver success in the commercial-country world is all the evidence one needs to support t he assertion. But plain 'n' simple, she a much-welcomed addition to the genre's radio soundscape, with a slew of fans clamoring for more.

Luckily, the wait for a full-length project from Lambert isn't long away, either, with the 25-year-old currently putting the finishing touches on Revolution.  The forthcoming record's already spawned a hit with its advance single, "Dead Flowers,"  that's on the charts at this writing. (Country fans may recall that she performed the tune live during the 2009 ACM Awards earlier this year.)

Revolution is set to drop Sept. 29, 2009, and it's an effort that the Grammy-nabber's excited to unleash. She's reportedly penned three of the disc's tracks on her own, but also called on tunesmithing help from her incessantly tweeting boyfriend, country singer Blake Shelton, as well as Lady Antebellum's Dave Haywood and newlywed Charles Kelley, the latter of whom also pitched in on backing vocals on a track dubbed "Love Song."

"I’ve been holed up in my house for three months trying to write for this record and so much anticipation … (and) so nerve-wracking, to hope that it all ends up perfect. … I am so pumped about this new record," she said via a video from her PR camp.

Recorded at Blackbird Studio, a Nashville facility launched by Martina McBride and hubby John, Lambert’s Revolution project has been nothing short of “awesome” to make, noted the devoted animal advocate.

"It’s definitely Miranda Lambert," she remarked of Revolution. "But it’s also an updated version of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, so I can’t wait ‘til ya’ll hear it.”
