First off, I would like to apologize for the lack of first day updates. I had a battle with wireless networking, and well, I lost. I do have some tidbits from the day that are not draft related, as well as a few that are draft related.

  • I spoke with Oren O'Neal, and he told me that he is recovering well, and will be back for training camp. He said that he feels like he is good to go right now.
  • Tom Cable has a fan in Luke Lawton who said, "I love Coach Cable. I would take a bullet for him. He cares about all of us as individuals." Turns out that Lawton recognized me from my picture when I introduced myself.
  • Trevor Scott is looking forward to knocking some (explative) out.
  • The Raider Nation may not have been happy with the selection of Darrius Heyward-Bey at number seven. In fact, the mood at Ricky's Sports Theater and Bar and Grill turned from jubulation and chants of "Raiders" when the Silver and Black were onthe clock to expressions of frustration when his name was announced.
  • I have had never seen Mel Kiper, Jr completely at a loss over a pick until Michael Mitchell's name was called in the second round.
  • Ricky's is a shrine to the Oakland Raiders.
  • I only got two right in my revised top ten.
  • Tomorrow, I will beat the networking issues, and have live updates from inside Oakland Raider Headquarters.
