The Raiders lost by a score of 24 to 16, but the reality of the game is that it wasn't that close. The Raiders were able to move the ball on the ground at times, but could find no sustained rhythm with their offense. The Chargers however, was able to move the ball when it mattered.
The Raiders still haven't had two touchdowns in a game since week one. However, the 16 points the Raiders put up were their second highest total of the season. Sebastian Janikowski was three for three including two from greater than 40 yards.

Raiders ninth drive: (continued) The Raiders ran the ball deep into the red zone following the fumble recovery. They picked up 12 yards on a Louis Murphy run following a reverse. Russell completed two passes, but was lucky a third wasn't intercepted after he chucked a duck into triple coverage. Sebastian Janikowski converted a 28 yard field goal to give the Raiders their second highest point total of the season at 16.
Raiders defense: A Charger special teams miscue leaves them starting at their own seven. The Chargers easily move the ball down the field setting up a first and goal inside the five. The Raiders red zone defense was able to keep the Bolts out of the end zone. Nate Kaeding hit a field goal to answer the Raiders earlier score and make it an eight point game.
Raiders tenth drive: The Raiders move the ball down the field, and look like they are going to at least threaten. The Raiders converted a 4th and seven. However, rather than pulling momentum from that big play they promptly implode. JaMarcus Russell fumbled as parrt of a strip sack, but it was recovered by the Silver and Black. Khalif Barnes followed that up with a false start to set the Raiders up with a 2nd and 28. That became a 4th and 20 and the Raiders could not convert.
