In the days leading up to the first matchup between the Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders, optimism was running rampant in the Raider Nation. How things have changed? The Raiders opening week obliteraton at the hands of the Broncos signaled the beginning of the end of the Lane Kiffin era, and with it the dreams of all the dreams of the Raider Nation.
This rivalry renews once again, but this doesn't look positive at all for the Raiders. Mike Shanahan has had the Raiders' number for years, even in the best of times. This is far from the best of times for the Oakland Raiders. They haven't scored an offensive touchdown since the third quarter of the Ravens game or thirteen quarters.
The Raiders defense has been much improved of late, but still finds a way to crumble at the absloute wrong times. This game will not be the blow out that the opener was, but this looks to be yet another in a long line of mounting losses for the 2008 Raiders.
