Heading to Cave Junction for a visit to the Oregon Caves or the Great Cats World Park this year? Travel just a bit farther up the highway to a small town named Kirbyville. Here in this quaint little town is a great place to visit called Burl Wood Gallery.
This Gallery consists of buildings that contain everything imaginable made from Burl Wood and Myrtle Wood. Tables, Candle Holders, Statues, Water fixtures, lamps, even carrousel horses.
The families who run this Burl Wood Gallery are the artists of the works found within the gallery built all the buildings and homes. They even built 4 tree houses that are just amazing, three and four stories high inside the trees among the outside fixtures. The work areas are open for viewing by visitors of how the Burl Wood and Myrtle wood items are made.
The structures are built with Burl Wood and Myrtle wood and my family thought that the buildings look similar to that which perhaps a Hobbit might find themselves at home in.
My family spent about 2 hours walking throughout the three buildings and the entire exhibit outside. Our visit was very comfortable we were allowed to view everything and was not at any time approached by a sales person who was trying to convince us that there was any item we could not live without.
I suggest a visit to the Burl Wood and Myrtle Wood Gallery because it is amazing the items that are created from this wood, each piece was found locally and the artist creates a piece of art from the raw wood. I strongly urge any traveler who passes through Kirbyville Oregon to stop and view this amazing Burl Wood Gallery.
