Fans prepare for True Blood season 2 with vampire-themed goodies galore

With the new video promos, sneak-peek screen shots and episode casting calls that have been circulating the internet, fans are completely beside themselves anxiously anticipating the season 2 premiere of Alan Ball's True Blood. Only a few weeks away, Season 2 premieres Sunday, June 14th at 9:00pm on HBO.
Fans are planning all kinds of get-togethers to celebrate the premiere. Fans in the Los Angeles area are trying to find out about the official HBO premiere event, but it is still unclear as to whether any such event will be be taking place (or whether HBO will sell tickets to us crazy fans!) Other fans are hosting parties, pre-show BBQ's and potlucks. I'll be hosting a party in my home to celebrate. (And by party I mean I will be sitting in my house in my sweatpants hanging out with my fellow vampire nerd, Wendy. We'll be drooling over Stephen Moyer and eating delicious sugary foods.) And it will be the most fantastic party I have ever attended! [yes i am a nerd.]
Wendy and I are currently brainstorming recipes for different food ideas we'd like to prepare in honor of this great occasion. One of our food items will most likely be something sweetly called "Raining Blood Red Velvet Cake" (pictured above).
