The following True Blood casting call was just released today. Sookie book readers will note that Alan Ball continues to deviate from the books, as Bill never returned to his family in the books after he was made vampire:
TRUE BLOOD, Episode 303 (Role of Caroline)
Network: HBO
Episode #303
[CAROLINE COMPTON] 20's. Seen in 1866, a lovely, strong, brave, well-bred and well-spoken Southern woman, Caroline pulls a shotgun on the intruder into her house--clearly prepared to use it--till she realizes it's her husband Bill (Stephen Moyer), whom she was sure had died in the War. THIS IS A GREAT SCENE...ACTRESS SHOULD RESEMBLE THE ACTRESS IN THE PHOTO
I predict that most fans will be pleased that Alan Ball continues to explore Bill's human life and early vampire years, as this is something not too deeply delved in to in the books since the stories are told through Sookie's viewpoint. (For fan-fictional a look in to the story from Bill's perspective, check out this wonderful blog, The Life and Times of William Thomas Compton.)
