This is a very seedy time for me. I have already ordered 20+ packets of hard-to-find flower and vegetable seeds.

One of my favorite seed sources is Seeds of Change, a fantastic seed company dedicated to organic and sustainable horticulture.

Tip of the week:   You can find their seeds in Boise at  The Boise Coop on Fort Street, Edwards Greenhouses off  Hill Road, Far West Landscape and Nursery on State Street .

Vegetable gardening is the way to go for the freshest of fresh produce. How about a fresh from the patio salad? Fill a 20 inch diameter patio container with good soil. Sprinkle on a packet of of Mesclum Spicy Salad Mix seeds, pat them in place, cover them with a 1/4 inch layer of soil, gently water in, and stand back. In about two weeks you will have fresh micro greens, in three - four weeks, real salad leaves. Note: Keep a close eye on your salad bowl the first week and don't let the top soil layer dry out until the seeds have sprouted.
