Last weekend, the Bay Area Guide to Independent Fashion Festival introduced us to some independent fashion designers (hence the name of the event) that the Bay Area has to offer.
The Yerba Buena Center or the Arts was filled with veteran designers and new faces. Attendees had the opportunity to sell their designs and to be honest, the place was a wall to wall set up of ADD fashion - I couldn't concentrate on one thing.

But amidst all the scattered garments and accessories, I did manage to get pulled into the tractor beam of the Russian Hill boutique, Eco Citizen.

The boutique's owner, Joslin Van Arsdale was behind the table giving me updates on her eco-friendly chic store and I walked away well-informed - and with a three-quarter length Turk + Taylor gingham shirt for a more-than-considerable price!
For more "green" appeal, I gave a side eye to those candy wrapper clutches that have garnered a eco cult following...

Other notables of the day's event was a fancy schmancy runway show, funky hats by Heathen and a general laid back vibe that showcased the "industry" in the Bay Area.
