The other day I was in Borders shopping for my weekly supply of fashion mags. In an attempt to revisit my childhood, I grabbed a copy of Where the Wild Things Are.

Even though I read the book in less than 10 minutes, I smiled. It made me remember how much I loved (and was kind of scared of)  Maurice Sendak's beloved children's book of imagination and monsters. I even shed a tear while I was reading it...okay, not really, but I do love the book. And I am looking forward to the Spike Jonze film adaptation.

This poster is magical, isn't it? If you love this, then you'll adore the trailer.

I wonder if any fashion designer would consider using this film as inspiration for an entire collection. Who do you think would use the monsters of the movie as muses for the runway?
