A sketch of the new "Exclusive" collection between
Barneys New York and Paul Smith.
The dapper design label, Paul Smith and Barneys New York will be giving a one-two punch of sartorial flair with a new collection of the three S’s: suiting, separates and shirting.
The AW 2009 collection will be dubbed “Exclusive” and will be exclusively (hence the name) made for Barneys and their flagship locations.
“I have been privileged to work with Barneys New York for many years and so it’s really great that I can do something that is especially for them and create an Exclusive collection where the designs are very Paul Smith,” said Paul Smith in a statement.
The collection includes stripes and Prince of Wales checks on grey and navy grounds. It also includes weekend sports coats and some velvet evening jackets.
Did someone say velvet? Sign me up.
