Last week, Saks Fifth Avenue hosted their men’s WANT IT! event, showing us the hot trends for the season: deconstructed sport coats, electrifying colors, dressed up sneakers, prints, reformed polos and spicy scents (they suggested Brooklyn by Bond No.9 New York). S5A’s men’s fashion director, Eric Jennings presented us with outfits suitable for the spring/summer season via well-styled models.
The trends are on point, but I must say – I am really diggin’ their ad campaign associated with said trends. Artist Shepard Fairey (just in case you didn’t know, he did the iconic Obama “Hope” poster) and his posse at Studio Number One created this posh propaganda campaign that illustrated all these trends with edgy urban appeal. It’s something very different for the folks at Saks Fifth Avenue; who often have a traditional aesthetic when it comes to their ad campaigns.

I applaud S5A for jumpin’ out of their classic comfort zone and steppin’ into the streets. Very contemporary. What do you think of their “Want It!” campaign?
