Yup - skirts on men seemed to be all the rage last week at the Paris men's shows. Collections from Number (N)ine, Comme des Garçons, Yohji Yamamoto, Jean-Paul Gaultier and Rick Owens all featured masculine skirts in their shows:

A model shows some leg at the Comme des Garcons show in Paris. And P.S. - this model is in desperate need of some leg tanning.

Some were short, some were long, some were ruffled, but all of them gave the models the freedom their legs don't have when they are in pants. I guess those Scots were way ahead of their time with those fancy kilts. Actually, skirts on runway male models isn't that new. We've seen it all before. Maybe this time it will actually hit the mainstream and they'll be selling them at H&M and Urban Outfiiters.

Nonetheless - how about you? What do you think about this whole "skirt for men" thing? I say if you are a dude and want to don a skirt then go for it - don't forget to shave...and wear underwear.
