Fusing fashion, philanthropy and star-studded entertainment, Macy’s Passport grows each year – and 2008 isn’t any different. With a fashion lineup that includes Calvin Klein, Ben Sherman, Ed Hardy, Levi’s, Tommy Hilfiger, INC, Alfani (among others) and an entertainment roster that includes No Doubt drummer Adrian Young, Oakland-based electric-pop band The Lovemakers, dance routines choreographed by Brian Friedman and Alex Da Silva and celebrity appearances by Dame Edna and Jennifer Coolidge (she was that eccentric beauty salon gal in Legally Blonde and she was hilarious in Best in Show), how could you not mark this event in your calendar?

But the show is not just about the fashion and fun (did I mention that it includes some delicious food?) – but it doesn’t hurt to have all of that. Continuing to bring awareness to HIV/AIDS, Macy’s partners with the Keith Haring Foundation to support of the artist’s work which conveys poignant social messages that have contributed to the fight against HIV/AIDS.

That said, here is the 4-1-1 on the two-day event:

WHEN? American Express Opening Night: 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 17; Gala Evening, 5:30 p.m. Sept. 18.

WHERE? Herbst and Festival Pavilions, Fort Mason Center in San Francisco

HOW MUCH? Runway seats are $200 and available through Blue Room Events at 877-252-7814; General Tickets are $85 and available at www.ticketmaster.com.
