Sure, it wasn't the best movie of the year, but it got me interested in that era of music - and the fashion.

#1) White on white: The mono-colored look that Muddy Waters (played by Jeffrey Wright) donned is clean and dapper. Complete the look with a crisp pocket square, French cuffs and a high-rise bouffant and you got yourself the look of a music icon.

#2) Got me a Cadillac car: Renowned record mogul, Leonard Chess (played by Adrien Brody) had an affinity for Cadillacs. He loved them so much that he was generous enough to give them to the musicians on his label. The vintage Cadillacs in the film are classic works of art.

#3) All about Chuck: Mos Def's portrayal of Chuck Berry was pitch perfect - and his flamboyantly colorful suits made him pop amidst his Chess Records peers who opted for monochromatic garb.

#4) Adrien's ascots: The gentlemen in the film wore plenty of neckwear accessories, but it was Brody's array of scarves/ascots that made me jump and jive.

#5) Beyonce says "At Last": The pop sensation takes a sassy turn as Etta James. With sexy curves, diva attitude and a blonde 'do, it's a role that is a far departure from her girl next door days of Destiny's Child. Oh yeah, she also does some smack. And she cusses. She cusses a lot.
Cadillac Records is in theaters December 5.
