Chicken wings and pizza.  They go beautifully together.  So beautifully, in fact, that most pizza joints have at least one flavor of wing on the menu.  So here's a thought--why not combine them?

On one Saturday afternoon, I went into my kitchen to do just that, and the results were stunningly delicious.  I must admit, I didn't make my own dough.  Trader Joe's sells raw pizza dough in a bag, and quite honestly, it's better than any pizza dough I've ever been able to make in my own kitchen.  I did, however, make my own sauce, and it made all the difference.

Buffalo Wing Pizza

4 Tbls sriracha sauce

3 Tbls honey

2 Tbls melted butter

1 Tbls soy sauce

Raw pizza dough

One chicken breast, cut into small cubes and cooked on stove

Cheese

Directions

Combine first four ingredients in small bowl.  Set aside.  Stretch and shape pizza dough to desired size and thickness.  Spread desired amount of sauce on dough.  Distribute cooked chicken onto crust, then drizzle remaining sauce across chicken.  Top with cheese.  For baking temperature and time, follow the recipe or instructions for pizza dough.

Of course, feel free to experiment.  Part of the beauty of pizza is that it is a blank canvas, ready to support any ensemble you can dream up.  I also made a chicken pizza with a honey mustard sauce, and it was divine.  So go out and try any combination that suits your fancy--it could be your new favorite topping.
