In my quest to find a suitable free replacement for Microsoft Office I stumbled across Zoho.

Zoho.com opens the door to a complete suite of cloud-resident software apps that just might suit your needs. Lets look at them:

  • Zoho Mail provides a quite full mail-service. Provisions are made for importing and address book from most sources.
  • Zoho Writer, Zoho Sheet and also provide the functionality that you would expect of a  full functioned software suite.

However the suite yields some other surprises. Among the choices are:

  • Zoho Wiki is a very simple, easy-to-use website-maker that easily generates a quite professional looking Wiki.
  • Zoho CRM Provides a multi-level Customer Relationship Manager in three levels - Free, Professional ($12/user/month) and Enterprise ($25/user/month). each level provides additional features and resources.
  • Zoho Project also provides flexible power and pricing. Prices range from free to $80/month based upon File Storage and number of Projects.
  • Other Business applications include Invoicing, Meeting Planning, HR and Business Calender

I haven't played with it yet but Zoho also provides what looks like a fairly complete database utility including an SQL engine. Like I said before - the Cloud is here!
