Today, Friday September 19th
Its not Another Gay Sequal but every Seattlelite needs to go see it and form your own opinion. Battle In Seattle. The film tells the story of protests turned riots during the World Trade Organization meeting in 1999. The film has recieved mixed reviews but no one is more qualified to judge it like those who were here when it all went down.
Battle in Seattle is playing at The Neptune Theatre tonight at 4:50, 7:10 and 9:30.
After the film head to Kurrent on Capitol Hill to unwind from the week behind us and chat about the film and whatever else is going on. You have all noticed current on the corner of Pine and Belmont. Its hip, chic and for not officially being a Gay business, it sure is getting a lot of gay play. If walking by hasnt enticed you to go in, check out their website. It is perhaps the best website for a local Restaurant/Bar I have ever seen.
Saturday, September 20th
I am undecided on what to do this night but here are my favorite options...
Le Faux @ Julia's on Broadway. I dont know what to say about this show besides, its amazing and these gals know how to put on a show. Tickets are $20 but totally worth it.
The Seattle Eagle is having its monthly Jock Strap Night. Let go of all of your preconcieved notions about The Eagle. It definitely has its crowd abd I dont know that I would attend all of their events, but Jock Strap night is a great way to get to know this misjudged Seattle gay staple. This is the night that guys who dont usually go, go. So, get your Jock out and head over to this accepting and underrated spot.
My favorite default on a Saturday night, and the place I will most likely end up at is The Cuff . It’s the only place to get your dance on with a patio to escape to for some fresh air and conversation. The dancing inside is hot, in my opinion; the best in town. DJ Stacey will mix it up until 3am. $5 Cover.
Sunday, September 21st
After I get enough sleep to recover from Saturday night I just might head over to...
The Fremont Market. If you've never been, go! It sells are the neat stuff that gay dreams are made of!
The Elite is the place to be for all you football fans and all of us who think the football fans are hot. The Seahawks play St. Louis and I think we are expected to root for the Seahawks in case you are as clueless about football as me.
Work hard during the week and treat yourself on the weekend. If you see me out, say Hello!
