Gators face Georgia and Notre Dame has a primetime date on NBC

8pm -Tonight is a key Big East battle between West Virginia and South Florida. Both can not afford another Big East loss so a bigger better bowl is on the line for the winner. ESPN/ESPN360 

The highlights of this weekend's extensive college football schedule are two two very interesting games.

The top ranked Florida Gators travel to Jacksonville to face their rivals the Georgia Bull Dogs. 

The game will air on CBS and there is no doubt that the Gators who have limped to victory in their last two games and need to pick things up against a Georgia team that would like nothing better than to take the Gators out of that #1 spot.

Game two has Notre Dame is San Antonio, Texas facing Washington State on NBC in primetime at 7:30pm.

Legendary Notre Dame head coach Knute Rockne was famous for taking his team on the road to make the a national team. So this trip to Texas to face Washington State would make him proud.

NBC is looking for some ratings magic in primetime with the Irish. The Oct. 17 USC-Notre Dame game on NBC Sports drew 6.5 million viewers, the most for a Notre Dame game on NBC since September 9, 2006 when the Penn St.-Notre Dame game drew 6.9 million viewers.
