King of the Groms 3rd Lair Qualifier Contest Report
Jonathon Reese is crowned the King of the Groms at the 3rd Lair SkatePark on October 25th, 2009!
The King of the Groms at the 3rd Lair SkatePark is: 11 year old Jonathon Reese from Edina, Mn. This is the second consecutive year that Jonathon has won the 3rd Lair Qualifier! The 8th annual King of the Groms - 12 & Under Only Contest Series had it's third qualifier event this past weekend at the home of the King of the Groms - the 3rd Lair SkatePark just outside of Mpls., Mn. Jonathon Reese won the Expert Street Division thus making him the King of the Groms of the 3rd Lair. Jonathon now qualifies for the King of the Groms - World Championships at the 3rd Lair SkatePark on Feb. 19th - 21st, 2010. Over 70 Groms from all over the country and Canada entered this 3rd of 5 qualifiers. The remaining 2 qualifiers will be held in Simi Valley, Ca. at the Skatelab on Dec. 11th - 13th, 2009 , & Canton, Georgia at the Progressive Skatepark on Jan. 1st - 3rd, 2010. The top riders of each event will be invited to compete in the national 12 & under only skateboard championship of the world held at the 3rd Lair SkatePark the weekend of February 19th - 21st, 2010. King of the Groms is owned, operated and orchestrated by the good folks from the 3rd Lair SkatePark.
