Skateboarding and Politics? By Jason Chapman.

Im sure that when the politicians do what they do, the last thing on their mind is if their views on something like skateboarding are actually going to have to have an effect on their numbers come that amazing day when we practice our contstitution given right to actually choose who is going to run this country. Our country which has allowed something as beautiful as the art of skateboarding to be born in sunny southern California.

That's right I just mentioned the contstituion and the birth of skateboarding. Two things that are very important to me, and millions of skateboarders everywhere. Skateboarders who are over eighteen. Over eighteen and voting. That's right voting. My hunch is a couple million votes in any direction could make or break a candidate. Remember the disaster of the 2000 presidential election, every vote definitely counted then. Counted and recounted.

I thought this was very note worthy article. Me being a skateboarder who plans to vote this year. Take one guess who I am not voting for this year. Please do your homework make an informed decision and then don't vote for the candidate who outlaws skateboarding!

A paragraph from the article detailing Palin's political life on the www.politico,com website. Written by Ben Smith and John Breshnan of POLITICO.

Palin Supported Penalties for Using Skateboards on Public or Private Property in Wasilla.
“Beginning Oct. 15 — after the expected opening of the $233,000 Wasilla Skate Park — skaters will be breaking the law if they use their skateboards, in-line skates, bicycles, scooters (or any other recreational, non-motorized wheeled device) on public or private property where signs are posted forbidding their use!
