There's more than one way to dance with the stars, as these amateur astronomers have proven. Sky and Telescope Magazine has named the winner of their Astronomy Day award--and it's...a Gemini!

The Astronomical League and S&T found two events that were just so good that they decided to declare a tie and honor a consortium of Houston area clubs along with one small group in California.

These groups were honored for their Astronomy Day event at the George Observatory in Brazos State Park:

· Astronomical Society of South East Texas
· Fort Bend Astronomy Club
· George Observatory
· Houston Astronomical Society
· JSC Astronomical Society
· North Houston Astronomy Club

Thirteen-year-old Even Chairman Maxwell Ward of  The Local Group Astronomy Club led his group to victory. The group, located in Santa Clarita, CA, tackled "how big is big" and "how far is far" in their presentation.
